I adore the idea of Leo developing a love for glam rock not only because he likes the music but also because of how many glam rock bands had vibrant and extravagant eye makeup - looks that his own red stripes were right at home with.

yall are about to piss me off by not having any PASSING basic knowledge of the way the u.s. military manipulates its recruits into joining by typing up one of your uninformed, unresearched, unempathetic, individualistic, unbelievably annoying posts about how 100% of the people in the military ended up there because they just Love America So Damn Much! they're extremely mature and informed at time of recruitment, they can totally leave anytime they want, they totally had tons of other avenues in life they could've taken, there was no rush at all to get income as fast as possible, and everyone in the military also totally is part of the combat divisions and personally enjoys being IN the military very much, big believers of violence. everyone in the military is shooting guns all day, that's how that works. they LOVE BLOODSHED. also I love the "amewicans haha" twang to this type of shit because you're actually TOTALLY stealing our Thing, which is turning systemic issues into Individual Issues. Instead of talking about the powers that be, it's so Personal Choice up in here. It's, "well you shouldn't have done it then. I totally wouldn't because I know better." you don't wanna talk about the military industrial complex as a whole, and you don't want to talk about recruiters, you just want to pin the blame on Specific Individual People one-by-one, as if they're responsible for the system that they're being ground up in. someone was in the military? bad person, no matter what. it's easier to believe that, I guess, than to acknowledge that Normal People (with high school educations) are manipulated and incentivized into joining a system that is Bad. at like age 18. but yeah no that 18 year old should have just been smarter lol haha anyway here are some screenshots for no particular reason

side note this reply of someone going "umm just get loans and go into a high paying field it's easy XD" as a direct response to someone trying to explain how most americans joining the military are being funneled in that direction out of a need for money.

and another person who Decided that americans join the military just CLENCHING their teeth thinking of other people, and not thinking completely selfishly about their own selves and their own income/housing/healthcare.

Thyneron and the Emperor have dramatically different outlooks on money and finances. I would not exactly call Balduran "self-made" since it's highly implied that much of his financial acquisitions were questionable at best, and outright theft, extortion, and exploitation at worst, but at the end of the day, he did still acquire his own money, no matter how illicitly.

On the other hand, Thyneron was born with a gem encrusted silver spoon in the mouth. Money means nothing to Thyneron in the way that money means nothing to all immensely wealthy people, in that it's been a permanent fixture in the background of his life. He has no more regard for money than he does for the lavishly expensive rugs under his feet. It is simply there, because it has always been there, and presumably always will be there.

At the same time, the Emperor is completely unconstrained by perceptions of wealth. I believe it has a certain taste for fine things, but it dresses and lives simply, and is more invested in the love of the game of acquisition. I think to the Emperor (and Balduran before that), amassing wealth was like a game, with only marginally higher stakes than dice or cards.

Meanwhile, Thyneron dresses in clothes he dislikes, associates with people he disdains even more, and is constantly buried in a mountain of self-hatred because he feels compelled to keep the rigid standards of the Upper City for the sake of his family and business. If he had it his way, he'd wear simple tunics and trousers and never go to a damned ball, feast, gala, or party ever again.

I always enjoy thinking of what money means to various people, especially two that embody separate sides of the same coin (ha) the way that these two do.

Nami found a new way to make money, by selling pictures of Luffy. Her best customers are Sabo (who gets a, very small, discount as Luffys brother and because he buys them double), Boa, the Barto-Club, Corby and Bepo (he buys them for Law, who dennies he loves them and hides them under his pillow).

Bonus:

Sabo has to share the pictures with Dragon.

Zoro doesn´t buy them because he doesn´t need them, he likes to just watch Luffy.

Interest check, would anyone be interested in supporting me through a platform such as patreon or ko-fi for worldbuilding purposes?

Of course there would be more stuff in there, like exclusive art, commission priority and the like, but I would like to primarily focus on worldbbuilding.

I have a big worldbuilding document (well, three actually. one per headworld) And I have written out a lot of small sections for ideas that are in my head that I've yet to properly flesh out. And I think it would be fun to try to aim for one worldbuilding post or so a week, where I choose one of these little ideas or blurbs and write it out properly. Perhaps even accompany it with a concept drawing or two. It's been a dream of mine to make an art + lore book for years now, and I would love to see this idea realized someday, so I think maybe doing this for my headworlds would be a good way to at least make some headway with writing alll of this that's in my head.

For challenger deep I have a 30 or so page document chock full of lore that could very much have been expanded upon, but I am currently rehashing the world specifics because I am not satisfied with it.

And for my first headworld focus I would like to choose my dragon/plane world. I've got a TON of cool as hell ideas for it and I would love to share them this way bit by bit, with the goal of eventually wrapping it all up into a neat book. But of course this requires a lot of effort and time, hence the monetary (and audience support, obviously) incentive to see it through to the end. And even if I do not reach the end, there would still be some of it written (and possibly drawn) for people to enjoy.

Like!! I just opened up my Broken Horizon doc to nab a picture of what I mean, and look at all these sections!! All this potential!! Who WOULDN'T wanna know about all this??

Ideally, at the start of a week there would be a blurb of worldbuilding published, along with art to go with it if possible, and a poll for voting on what the next week's blurb would be.

On that note, not sure if ko-fi or patreon would be better for this, but I would like to hear peoples opinions!

i'm back on my omega jason bullshit, because he's near and dear to my heart

so, so what if when jason's living on the streets he one day finds a hoodie, a sweater, something that'll keep him warm now that the days are getting colder and his own clothes are becoming more threadbare. and this sweater, i'm gonna go with sweater, is made of genuine cashmere wool. jason doesn't know that, but it feels incredible against his skin and it's warm without being uncomfortable.

it also smells incredible, it smells of comfort and safety and laughter, jason doesn't know how a sweater can do that, but it does and it calms something inside him that has been restless since he got on the streets.

he knows that he stole it, it was on a bench in the park near the library and he knows that one of the people milling around probably came back to the bench to grab their sweater only to find an empty bench. but it had called to him, he had been looking through the trash can next to the bench to see if there was some food, but then that smell had hit his nose and suddenly he had the sweater in his grime covered hands and it felt like the best thing he had ever touched. he couldn't put it back after that. it was getting colder and he was shivering more and more during the night, and they could afford to buy a new sweater couldn't they? but he couldn't so it would be alright if he just took it, right?

so jason brings back the sweater and pulls it on and immediately feels settled, even in the small nook he found that's barely hidden from sight.

and then not long after batman finds jason jacking the tires off of the batmobile, and he's taken by surprise not only by the gumption of this kid but also because the kid is wearing a sweater he knows dick lost when hanging out with barbara a few weeks back.

even more so when jason gets close enough to hit him and he gets a whiff of two scents so perfectly intertwined that if he didn't know one of them intimately he would've just passed it off as the kid's own scent.

that can only mean one thing - a true match

I just watched THE miraculous movie for the first time and HOLY SHIT. BRO WHAT. NO ONE TOLD ME THAT THERE WAS A GOOD VERSION OF MIRACULOUS OUT HERE

Okay I don’t love the fact that it basically became a disney musical AND the fact that it’s not actually Marinette and Adrien singing but if u get past that the songs are actually really really beautiful and THE STORY. LIKE. THEY JUST REDID AN ENTIRE 6 SEASON SERIES IN ONE MOVIE AND THEY DID IT 10 TIMES BETTER TOO

I’m flabbergasted actually. Blown away. This made so much more sense and was soo much better anD SO FUCKING WHOLESOME LIKE YES EVERYTHING GETS FIXED!,! GABRIEL REDEMPTION!!! EVERYONE MAKES UP!!,! THEY KISS!!!!
